The pipettes are injection molded before being filled with the medicine. They are then placed in rows of seven, after which they will be packed into boxes and shipped off to pharmacies.
The pipettes need to be filled rather quickly in order for the medicine not to become contaminated. The belts, located next to the packaging equipment, function as accumulators. Should there be some kind of complication at the packaging station, the rows of pipettes can accumulate inside the many belt compartments (270 per belt). Once the packaging equipment is back to its full capacity, the rows of pipettes are reinserted into the machine.
