In mid-December, Habasit announced the opening of a new warehouse and distribution hub located in Fresno, California—debuting its local services to the West Coast and surrounding areas. Despite its streamlined design, this service center still delivers a wide range of belting solutions while improving service and reducing shipping time and costs for the company’s west coast customer base.
“The industrial market, similar to the consumer marketplace, has elevated its expectations for fast delivery of products and services. Habasit is determined to address this requirement, which is a challenge when operating two thousand miles away from Georgia,” said Tim Waldner, General Manager, Habasit America Inc. “Our new Fresno hub will not only provide close proximity of products for our customers, but allow for faster overall service because of its streamlined operation.”
Located at 4333 South Minnewawa Avenue, Fresno, California, the new facility is home to several employees who have already established a friendly link with local customers.
“We have created a great relationship with our customers, who are very pleased with our new presence. Often, many will stop by just to say hello,” said Cynthia Wesson, Fresno’s Logistics Manager.
West coast customers not only enjoy local service, but since the December opening, the Fresno team has shipped most orders same day—without a single late order to date. Several customers gain additional value by picking up their finished goods, avoiding shipping fees.
Quickly taking root, the Fresno team established both the presence and service excellence desired for this new strategic location—a testament to the quality of people chosen for the job.
